Uniform ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web services. Information We Collect

Data Stored in Active App Runtime

Uniform account creation and in-app feedback are designed to work without real-name, personal email, or phone fields.

Account handle and account status
Device-key and session challenge metadata
Context/thread membership and authorization metadata
Encrypted ciphertext payloads for posts, comments, messages, and media
In-app feedback submissions (message text, optional encrypted image attachment metadata, type, internal account ID, and timestamp)
Safety and moderation metadata (reports, appeals, suppression state, and moderation action audit logs)
Anonymous union authorization card receipt artifacts (hashes, location, timestamp)

Data Not Stored in Active App Runtime

In active app runtime account/session/content records, we do not store:

Real-name, personal email, or phone identity fields for account creation/sign-in
Auth/session IP addresses or browser/device fingerprint fields
Plaintext messages, posts, comments, or media content
Card numbers, billing names, or billing addresses in app runtime tables
Signed union authorization card content (only anonymous receipt artifacts)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the service
Authenticate accounts and enforce session/device security controls
Authorize access to organizing contexts and encrypted resources
Operate encrypted messaging/posting/media workflows
Review and respond to in-app feedback submissions
Process safety reports and appeals, enforce blocks/bans, and address security issues
Comply with legal obligations

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

With your consent or at your direction
With service providers that support infrastructure, security, and notifications
With payment processors or app stores for subscription/payment flows (provider-side identity is outside app runtime records)
To comply with legal obligations
To protect rights, property, and safety

Feedback and Contact Channels

In-app feedback buttons in the mobile and web apps submit only the feedback message, optional encrypted image attachment metadata, and internal account metadata (account ID/type/timestamp). This flow does not require name, personal email, or phone fields.

If you email us directly (for example, support@getuniform.app or privacy@getuniform.app), we will receive the information you include in that email and the related email metadata through our email providers.

Data Security

We implement technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted content workflows and access controls, to protect system data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Uniform moderation is metadata-first. Moderators do not have routine plaintext access to end-to-end encrypted post or message content, and safety review is primarily based on reports, account state, and moderation metadata.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to eligible personal information
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion, subject to legal and operational exceptions
Object to or limit certain processing where applicable law provides
Request a copy/export of eligible information

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the Settings page in the mobile app or web application. When you delete your account:

We process deletion against active app-runtime account data
This action is generally irreversible once completed
Some records may be retained where required for legal, safety, or security purposes

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
